Flora K. Allman

Flora K. Allman, 77, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Senete and Pearl (Thompson) Butcher, Flora was born December 20, 1933 at Dennison, Ohio.Flora attended Conotton Valley Schools and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. She was retired from the City of New Philadelphia where she worked as a switchboard operator. Flora enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley.She is survived by her children, Charles (Barbara) Allman Jr. of New Philadelphia and C. “Sue” (Darrell) Parson of Mineral City; her grandchildren, Michael Allman of Akron, Eric (Angel) Parson of Mineral City and Stacy (Troy) Peterson of Mineral City and four great grandchildren, Lilli Peterson, Eric and Hailey Parson and Alexis Peterson.Flora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Allman Sr. and three sisters and two brothers.The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Father Jeff Coning officiating.
