Felix L Reed, 85, of Dover, died Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover.A son of the late Lawrence and Lurlia Angeline (Prater) Reed, Felix was born April 8, 1919 in Coffee County, Tennessee.He was a member of the Church of Christ that meets on Commercial Avenue, SW in New Philadelphia. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and he also enjoyed traveling with his wife.Felix was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. During his service to his country, he received a number of decorations, most notably, three bronze stars.He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Frances (Howiler) Reed, whom he married July 27, 1946. Also surviving are three daughters, Margaret (Tony) Mickholtzick of Memphis, Tennessee, Ruth Ann (R. Dean) Miller of Hartville, Ohio and Nancy (Robert) Miller of Barnesville, Ohio; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Felix was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Hassie Howard and Frances Winton.Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2005 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Services will be conducted by Minister William Hopkins on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.
