Faith Danielle Toth, age 15, of New Philadelphia, a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, December 16, 2012, in her home.
A daughter of Linda Slocum (fiancée Michael Harris) of New Philadelphia and Dennis Toth of Canton, she was enjoying her sophomore year at New Philadelphia High School.
Faith was a talented young lady who enjoyed socializing with her friends, singing, and devoting time to scrapbooking. She was particularly gifted in the kitchen where she enjoyed baking for her family and friends, and had recently prepared a bountiful Thanksgiving Dinner for her whole family.
She spent her days working toward her goals of becoming a professional singer, or maybe a pediatrician, either profession would have suited her talents well, as she enjoyed making beautiful music and caring for others, especially the young people in her life.
Survivors include her siblings, Kassandra McCormick of Montana, Brianna Harris of Dover, Kimberly Hullfish (Terrell Christian and son Terell Jr.) of Strasburg, Landon Harris of Dover, Alisa Hullfish of New Philadelphia, Taylor Harris of Dennison, Dennie Toth of New Philadelphia, and Braedan Harris of Dennison.
She’ll be dearly missed by her entire family, Aunt Tina Milini, Aunt Sonja Mohn, Uncle Luke Snyder (wife Justina), Jake Snyder and especially her aunt Glenda(Ginny)and Uncle Jeff Knerr of Strasburg, and her cousins, who were very much like siblings; Danny March, Jeffrey Knerr, Deveni Knerr and Jada Knerr, all of Strasburg.
Faith is also survived by her maternal grandparents; Mickie Kuehn of Marietta, O. and Frank Slocum of Massillon, her paternal foster grandmother Phyllis Toth of Canton, and grandmother Judith McCormick. Her step-maternal grandmother, Angie Howard of Canton, Nana Robin Snyder, and her step great-grandmother Eleanor Martinelli of New Philadelphia also survive.
Paternal aunts and uncles include Carol Christner of Canton, John (wife, Tina) Toth of Canton, and Jodi Ellis of Newcomerstown, Laurie Toth of Canton, Uncle Fish of Waco, TX, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whom Faith loved and cherished, who complete her family.
She is preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Randy Cox, and paternal grandfather, Dennis McCormick, and her cousin Ronnie Ray Milini.
Faith’s family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, from 4 – 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
Pastor Rich Van Arsdalen will lead Faith’s funeral service Friday morning at 10:30 in the funeral home’s chapel.
Following the committal service, family and friends will gather for a reception in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
