Eva Maxine Stutzman

Eva Maxine Stutzman, 76, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, February 02, 2009 in Hennis Care Center at Dover.A daughter of the late James and Effie (Hooper) Grinder, Maxine was born October 7, 1932 at Dover, Ohio.Maxine was a life long resident of the area. Prior to her husband Andrew’s passing in 1999, she enjoyed attending auctions with him at Mt. Hope. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino at Wheeling Island.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Sherry Stutzman of Dover and five grandchildren, Amy and Gwen Stutzman, Melinda McPeek, Catherine Fuller and Harry Hopson Jr.Five nieces, Sandy Tyson, Sally Nagel, Dean Leland, Joann Ozment and Linda Fink complete Maxine’s family.Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew Stutzman and 12 brothers and sisters.A funeral service celebrating Maxine’s life will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Chris Mulpas, minister of First Christian Church at Dover officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Maxine’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern Ohio Chapter, 4635 Richmond Road, Suite 103, Cleveland, OH 44128.
