Eula Rooks

Eula Rooks, 78, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Schoenbrunn Health Care in New Philadelphia.

A daughter of the late Steven and Odessa Mae (Gault) Kuhn, Eula was born April 1, 1939 in Colerain, Ohio.

Eula was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister; Eula loved spending time with her family.  Every Sunday she would gather her family so they could share a dinner that she prepared.  She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden, making a variety of crafts and watching the birds outside.

She is survived by her children, Marguerite Rooks of New Philadelphia, Marsha Harrington of Gnadenhutten,  George (Traci) Rooks of Gnadenhutten and daughter-in-law, Carrie Rooks of Gnadenhutten; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Rusk, Adam (Kayla) Rooks, Jeremy (Amber) Gartrell, Andrew (Aubri) Gartrell, Lindsey (Ricky) Twardoski, Ashley and Hunter Rooks, Kristen (Brandon) Quarles, Nicole (Fiance Dale Douglass), Samantha, Ethan, Alayna and Ariana Harrington; 10 great grandchildren and three siblings, Steve Kuhn, Jr., Elizabeth McFall, and Ethel (Bill) Dipoalo.

In addition to her parents, Eula is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George Rooks, whom she married February 11, 1956; her son, Richard Allen Rooks; her brother, Rick Kuhn and her faithful dog, Lovey.

In keeping with Eula’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation care will be handled through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
