Etta Belle Reichman, 83, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2004, at Union Hospital in Dover.Born in Tuscarawas County, on June 4, 1920 she was a life long county resident. Etta Belle was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of New Philadelphia, retired from Schoenbrunn State Memorial where she ran the gift shop, and had worked at several New Philadelphia stores including the former Lawrence’s Market, the former Leggett’s Market and the former Graff’s Store. She was an avid sports fan who followed the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State University Buckeyes.She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley C. and Etta Belle (Meyers) Reichman, brothers, Parker E., Delbert W., Dennis L., Edgar M., Henry H., and John F. Reichman, sisters, Gertrude P. Kohler, Elva G. Simmers, Florence L. Eichel, Zelpha M. Carpenter, and a twin-sister, Eileen J. Reichman.She is survived by a sister-in law, Mary Reichman of New Philadelphia, numerous loving nieces and nephews, and many loyal friends.Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2004, at 10:30am, in the Linn-Hert Geib funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Walters officiating. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home Sunday evening from 6pm to 8pm and Monday morning one hour prior to the service.Memorial contributions in Etta Belle’s memory may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
