Ethel M. Golden, 78, of Dover passed away in Hennis Care Center in Bolivar Monday morning, March 28, 2016 following a period of declining health.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Willoughby and Rhoda Bambury Cluett.
Ethel was a member of the First Moravian Church in Dover, the Dover VFW, and a former member of the Uhrichsville Moose Women’s Auxiliary. She also gave of her time as a volunteer at Union Hospital.
She will be deeply missed by her three sons, David E. (Donna Marie) Golden of Millersburg, Dennis (Sandra) Golden of Bolivar, and Darrell Golden of Dover; her grandchildren, Ashley (Paul) Henry, Kayla Golden, Dana (Jason) McWilliams, Morricia Golden, and Christopher Golden; in addition to a great-grandson, Andrew Henry, and numerous Canadian cousins.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David Cluett; and her aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A service celebrating Ethel’s life will be held in the First Moravian Church at Dover on Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park. A meal will be hosted by Ethel’s church family in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
