Esther Mae Ren, age 100, formerly of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, August 08, 2012, in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Patrick and Esther (Minor) Dillon, Esther was born at Roswell, Ohio on June 22, 1912.
A long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia, Esther enjoyed caring for her family and playing Bingo as she was able.
She will be missed by her family which includes a son, John “Jack” (Darlene) Ren; a daughter-in-law, Eileen Ren; three grandchildren, Deb (Jim) Carlisle all of New Philadelphia, John “Yock” (Connie) Ren of Carrollton, and Alan “A.P.” (Becky) Ren, and a granddaughter-in-law, Judy Ren all of Dover.
Completing the family are five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Rachel, Ben, Courtney, and Lexie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Ren; a son, Donald Ren, a grandson, Robert “Bob” Ren, three sisters and two brothers.
A graveside service will be led by Father Jeff Coning on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10AM in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
Memorial contributions in Esther’s name may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 139 Third Street NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
