Esther Elizabeth (Endres) Fishel, 90, of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Friday, June 17, 2005 at the home of her daughter.A daughter of the late John G. and Rebecca A. (Snellenberger) Endres, Esther was born July 9, 1914 in New Philadelphia.She attended St. Joseph High School and was also employed as a clerk at the Endres Floral Company.However, Esther was primarily a homemaker who devoted much of her life to her husband and children. Her love of gardening was evident in her beautiful flower gardens.Esther was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia as well as a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. Esther’s caring personality will not be forgotten by her friends and family.She is survived by her loving family; daughters, Rebecca (Dale) Schelling of Troy, Ohio, Mary Kay (Les) Marjay of Massillon, Lois Antonelli of Dover, Florence (Paul) Melda of Jasper, Georgia and Ellen Marie Fishel of Cape Coral, Florida; sons, Michael (Glender) Fishel of Sacramento, California and Thomas (Nathalie) Fishel of Shawville, Ontario; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Martha (Robert) Haeberle of New Philadelphia, Mary Cummings of South Bend, Indiana and Helen Fishel of Florida; brother-in-law, James Fishel of New Philadelphia many nieces nephews and friends. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 63 years, Adam Fishel, who died May 20, 2004; a granddaughter, Mary Ellen Schelling; three brothers and one sister.Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia with a Christian Wake service being held at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends are invited to St. Ambrose Hall for a luncheon following the burial.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622
