Esther B. Bair

Esther B. Bair, 93, of Bellevue, Nebraska (formerly of New Philadelphia) died Friday, April 10, 2015 following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late William and Hallie (Pfister) Harrold, Esther was born on August 9, 1921 at Beach City, Ohio and is a 1939 graduate of Beach City High School.

Esther, a homemaker, was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Philadelphia and in her spare time enjoyed working in her flower garden and painting.

Surviving are her two children, John (Bobbie) Bair of Bellevue, Nebraska and Deborah (Steve) Scherer of Cincinnati. Ohio; grandsons, Jason and Brandon Bair of Omaha, Nebraska and Kurt Scherer of Cincinnati, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard; sisters, Arlene Arnold, and Givah Simon, and brothers, George and Don Harrold.

Pastor Jeff Gerber will lead a service celebrating Esther’s life on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with the family greeting guests one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
