Ernest Paul Bressler, age 76, of Dennison, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in his home with his family at his side. A son of the late George L. and Zelma M. Benshoff Bressler, Paul, as he was known to family and friends, was born at Montgomery, Pennsylvania on October 9, 1934. He was a graduate of the former Westinghouse Memorial High School at Wilmerding, Pennsylvania and entered into the United States Army. On September 3, 1961, at Wilmerding, he married the former Betty Jean Reese; and as a couple raised three daughters. Paul and Betty celebrated 38 years of marriage prior to her passing in 1999.For many years, Paul worked as a retail manager for Busy Bee Discounts of Wexford, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed woodworking, and building projects as well as spending time with his family and was always willing to help anyone in need.Paul and his family resided at Conway, Pennsylvania and relocated to Chippewa, Pennsylvania where he was active with the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Upon relocating to the Tuscarawas Valley in 2004, Paul attended Roxford United Methodist Church at Dennison. Paul leaves behind a family which includes, three daughters, Linda (Jim) Palmer of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Lisa (Rick) Skelly of Dennison, and Lori Riley and her fiancée, Randy Jennings of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; two brothers, George David (Dolores) Bressler of Irwin, Pennsylvania; and Clifford Lee (Doris) Bressler and a sister, Shirley Marlene Bressler all of North Irwin, Pennsylvania.10 Grandchildren, Eric, Nicole, Jonathan, Heather, Mathew, Melissa, Amanda, Joshua, Tyler, and Amber; eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews complete the family.In keeping with Paul’s wishes cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life will be held in the Roxford United Methodist Church at Dennison on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 11AM. A meal and fellowship in the church social hall will follow. Burial in the Twin Valley Cemetery at Delmont, Pennsylvania will be planned by the family at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions in Paul’s name be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0142.
