Erma L. Webb, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 in Union Hospital at Dover following a lengthy illness.A daughter of the late Okey and Flora Miller, Erma was born in a little white house in Spencer, West Virginia on July 31, 1922.A 53 year member of the First United Church of Christ at New Philadelphia, Erma was employed over the years by Attorney James Barnhouse, Jerry Marlowe and Janet Stevenson.She enjoyed baking, shopping and walking. Erma especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by her loving husband, Mack Webb, whom she married in 1947, a son, Ronnie (Roxanne) Webb of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Isac Webb of New Philadelphia and Dawn (Dan) Secrest of Fishers, Indiana and five great grandchildren, Taylor, Kylie, McKenzie and Cadance Webb and Draven Secrest.Erma will also be sadly missed by her friends Texanne Beatty, who she enjoyed walking with and Ruth Hall, who she enjoyed shopping with.Erma was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Erma’s life will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the First United Church of Christ at New Philadelphia with Pastors Jeffrey Gerber and Jill Lovett officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center.Contributions may be made in Erma’s memory to the First United Church of Christ, P.O.
