Emil John Lewis

EMIL JOHN LEWIS, 71 of Bolivar, formerly of Cincinnati and Akron, died Sunday morning, September 29, 2002 at Aultman Hospital in Canton O. Born January 13, 1931 in Akron, O, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Julia Melnik Lewis. He attended High School at Akron East then honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1986 from the Ryder Trucking Company in Cincinnati, where he was employed as a supervisor of shipping. Emil was a member of the Bolivar VFW. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and toiling with computers. He is survived by a daughter; Linda (Terry) Sica of Dover, a son; William (Sharon) Lewis of Doylestown, three grandsons; Nathan John Sica, Alex Ray Sica and Jacob Lloyd Lewis, a sister; Carol (Horace) Foster of Barberton, two brothers; Walt (Shirley) Lewis of Doylestown and Lloyd Lewis of Washington State. In addition to his parents, a sister, Helen Fleming precedes him in death. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place locally through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements.
