Eloise F. Martin

ELOISE F. MARTIN, 77, died peacefully in her New Philadelphia home with her family close by on Sunday morning, March 2, 2003. Eloise was born September 18, 1925 in Coshocton to the late Robert and Mary Carton and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School there. An active member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, Eloise was a great help to new church members by assisting with RCIA classes. She retired from Daniels’ Clothing in New Philadelphia where she worked as a clerk. Eloise liked flowers and spending time at Tappan Lake, but mostly she enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Martin, an Ohio Power retiree, whom she married April 28, 1945; two sons, Michael Patrick Martin of Detroit, MI and Thomas David and wife Kay Martin of Houston, TX; and her granddaughter, Michele and husband Tim Hisnay of Cincinnati. Calling hours will be in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the Christian Wake at 7:30 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 in Sacred Heart Church at 1:00 PM with Msgr. George J. Schlegel as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
