Ellen P. Cramer

Ellen P. Cramer, 75, of Dover, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in Park Village Assisted Living at Dover following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (Beckley) Phillips, Ellen was born June 23, 1935 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.Ellen graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1954. She then continued her education at Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her LPN license. She worked as an LPN for Colonial Manor at New Philadelphia for more than 18 years retiring in 2000.She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Ellen also enjoyed gardening around her home and after relocating to Park Village she thought of her flowers often.Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Scott) Stein of Layton, Utah and Carol (Jerry) Bechtel of Dover; a grandson, Shaun Michael Stein who is stationed active duty in the United States Air Force in Korea; a sister, Gladys Huebner and a brother, Ronald Phillips.Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Howard Cramer, who passed away on March 2, 1979 and a sister, Mary Catherine Vosick.In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, services will be private and interment will take place in Dover Burial Park.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting the funeral home website.Contributions may be made in Ellen’s memory to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622
