Ellen M. Childress

Ellen M. Childress, 86, of New Philadelphia, died Friday morning, June 8, 2007 in Union Hospital at Dover.She was born February 19, 1921 in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Amanda Hair.After finishing her formal education, she spent her lifetime rearing her two children, both who survive including Brenda (Ron) Rowan of Columbus and Michael Childress of Lakeland, Florida. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service celebrating Ellen’s life will take place Monday at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Dr. Steve Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.
