Elizabeth Pertel

Elizabeth Pertel, 86, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, July 26, 2002 at Union Hospital in Dover.Born in Boulder, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Bihari and had attended the Angel Valley School and graduated from the former Stone Creek High School in Stone Creek. Elizabeth had retired from the dietary dept. at Union Hospital and had formerly attended the First United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.Her husband, the late Joseph Pertel, preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn (Joel) Borga of New Philadelphia and Nancy (Tom) Satyshur of University Heights; a son, Robert (Judy) Pertel of Urbana; a sister, Marie Gifford of Willoughby, two brothers, John Bihari of Tuscarawas and William (Frances) Bihari of New Philadelphia; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 28, 2002 at 3 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia with Pastor David Blevins officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 PM in the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, her body is to be cremated following the funeral service and a private family graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia at a later date.
