Elizabeth J. "Betty" Cross

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Cross, 84, of Barnhill, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her immediate family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 while under the care of Lifecare Hospice in Trinity-Twin City Hospital at Dennison following a lengthy illness.

Born in New Philadelphia, Betty was one of six daughters and six sons that were born to the late Santi M. and Ruby F. (Dotts) Grasselli, Sr. Betty was a homemaker and spent her life being devoted to the care of her husband, her three sons and extended family.

Surviving is her son, Donald “Donnie” (Susan) Cross of Barnhill; a sister, Francine Peters; two brothers, John Grasselli and Ralph (Nancy) Grasselli all of New Philadelphia and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. “Hap” Cross; two sons, Bobbie Cross and Ronnie Cross; four sisters and four brothers.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and a private burial will take place next to her husband in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
