Elizabeth Grier

March 15, 1956 — August 13, 2018

Elizabeth Bertha Grier, age 62, of New Philadelphia died Monday, August 13, 2018 in Akron General Hospital.

A daughter of the late George and Maria Meier Covic, Elizabeth was born March 15, 1956 in Pennsylvania and graduated high school in Richland, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth was one of the first female guards at Indian River School in Massillon. She enjoyed shopping, visiting flea markets, gardening, dancing, collecting jewelry and traveling.

She is survived by her son, Andrew James Grier of New Philadelphia and her grandson, Kayden Andrew Grier.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
