Elizabeth G. Toth

Elizabeth “Liz” G. Toth, age 92, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully early Monday evening, April 3, 2006 in Amberwood Residence at New Philadelphia. Born at Wainwright, Ohio, on July 6, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Fred Yegher and Anna Clauser Yegher. On November 11, 1935, Liz married John E. Toth Jr. The couple observed their 58th wedding anniversary prior to his death on March 28, 1994. Liz enjoyed homemaking, crocheting, gardening and attending social events where she and her husband were known to polka and square-dance. Together with her husband, Mrs. Toth reared a daughter, Wilhelmina Toth, who married John Mutti. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mutti are deceased. Survivors include her two granddaughters, Angela and Susan Mutti of North Canton. A brother, Joseph A. Yegher of New Philadelphia and numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. In addition to her parents, husband, daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Toth was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Stemple, and Irene Brown.Friends are invited to call Thursday from 4PM Â? 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. The Monsignor George J. Schlegel will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial Friday afternoon at 1:30 PM in Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
