Eileene Anne Clark, age 88, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, January 12, 2017, in Union Hospital at Dover.
A daughter of the late Curtis and Harriett McCoullough Wardell, Eileene was born at New Philadelphia on May 21, 1928.
She was a graduate of the former Midvale High School and was employed for 15 years at AEP. Eileene was also employed by the former Endres Floral Company, Wardell’s Dairy Bar and Harts Family Center.
A longtime member of Broadway United Methodist Church, Elieene enjoyed reading, riding horses as a child, listening to music, and taking rides in the country.
She is survived by her children, Douglas (Pamela) Clark of Dover, Daniel (Pamela) Clark of Denim Springs, LA, Jenine (Dale) Nedrow of Dennison, Curtis (Anita) Clark of Dover and Timothy Clark of New Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren a great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Eileene was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles and Glenn Wardell, Iva Watt, Mary Ricker and Mable Fox.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9-10 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Mick Foster will lead a celebration of Eileene’s life in the funeral home’s chapel at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. All are invited to share in a meal and fellowship in Broadway United Methodist Church following services.
