Edwin Mason

Edwin J. Mason, age 71, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Hennis Care Center of Dover, following a lengthy period of declining health.

Born on August 8, 1952, in Mercy Hospital at Canton, Ohio, Ed was a son of the late Paul and Ruth (Morris) Mason.

Ed graduated from high school in 1970.   He was an avid bowler for many years and was proud of his 2 perfect games.  In his younger years he also played baseball for Joy Manufacturing and Gundy Construction.

He was a delivery driver for Endres Floral and then began making floral arrangements for Endres.

Ed is survived by his brother, Doyle (Esther) Mason of New Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth Mason; and a brother, Evan Mason.

In keeping with Ed’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Inurnment will take place in the Sunset Hills Memory Garden in Canton.
