Edward Arden Tice

Edward Arden Tice, 57, of Dover, a beloved son and friend, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Ohio’s Hospice-Truman House at New Philadelphia, following a four-year battle with cancer.

Born January 12, 1968, in Dover, Edward was the son of the late Lester E. Tice and is survived by his mother, Janice C. (Sayre) Tice of the residence.

Ed graduated from Tusky Valley High School in 1986, where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. Following his graduation, Edward built a reputable work career with many different businesses until he became employed at Meteor Sealing Systems in Dover, where he was respected by co-workers for his hard work and integrity.

Outside his work life, Edward was an enthusiastic collector, with a particular fondness for gaming systems and various media. His passion for collecting not only reflected his interest in technology and entertainment, but also allowed him to connect with others who shared similar interests.

IN addition to his mother, Ed is survived by his sister, Cathy (Ron) Widder; nieces, Mandi Widder and Kori Widder all of Ft. Scott, Kansas; nephew, Trey Widder of Texas; four great nieces and three great nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins; his former wife and three step-children.

In addition to his father, Ed was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and no services are to be scheduled.
