Edward “Eddie” Korns

Edward L. “Eddie” Korns, 63, a resident of Schoenbrunn Healthcare at New Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Community Hospice Truman House, following a period of declining health.

Born in Dover, Eddie was the son of the late Raymond and Rose Snyder Korns and had attended New Philadelphia High School and had been employed by Starlight Enterprises at New Philadelphia. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling around the United States by hitchhiking.

He is survived by his brothers, Thomas E. (Cheryl) Korns, Henry D. Korns and Mike D. (Sharon) Korns all of Dover, Terry L. Korns and his companion, Craig Brown of Florida; two sisters, Carol A. (Tony) Cordova of Nebraska and Sally A. Korns and her companion, Melody Parks of Florida; a sister-in-law, Chrystel Korns; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Raymond D. Korns and Bill G. Korns also preceded him in death.

In keeping with his wishes, Eddie is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory and no public services are to be planned.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
