Edith Emma Renicker

Edith Emma Renicker, 86, of Dover, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Hennis Care & Retirement Center at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Donald David and Olivia Mildred (Burky) Maurer, Edith was born in her childhood home at New Philadelphia on March 25, 1928.

Edith was formerly employed at Marsh Lumber and Office Appliance and was also a former member of the First United Church of Christ at New Philadelphia. She enjoyed playing Bingo in her spare time.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Duane Winkler of New Philadelphia; a son, Jeffrey Renicker of Columbus; two granddaughters, Shannon (Steve) Dunfee of Shreve, Ohio and Darcie Winkler of Huntington, West Virginia; two great grandsons, Dawson and Spencer Dunfee; two sisters, Shirley (Ralph) Swartz of New Philadelphia and Lois (Mike) Marmo of Ravenna, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Maurer.

In keeping with Edith’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Inurnment will take place in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
