Edie K. Hobart

Edie K. Hobart, age 47, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly, Friday, November 6, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of Edward (Juanita) Kramer of Blue Rock, Ohio, the late Edna Wood Steed and step-daughter to Sonny Steed of Duncan Falls, Ohio; Edie was born at Zanesville, Ohio on November 26, 1967.

Edie graduated from Philo High School in 1986 and married, Jack Hobart on June 25, 1994. Edie was an Abstractor for the Oil and Gas Industry and worked for various title agencies throughout the Northeast Region. She enjoyed craft work, scrapbooking, drawing and shopping; always remaining faithful about finding the best deal possible.

In addition to her father, step-parents, and husband, Edie leaves behind her children, Eddie (companion, Janet) Dalrymple of Caldwell, Ohio; Kate (Brody) Barbee and Victoria Hobart all of New Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Isaiah, Shawn, Isabella, Elijah, Samuel, and Janette; her sister, Samantha Steed of Duncan Falls; her mother-in-law, Trudy Hobart of Strasburg, and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Edie was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Steed; her father-in-law, John “Jack” Hobart; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a celebration of Edie’s life in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday at 7 PM.
