Edd Landers, age 72, of Uhrichsville and formerly of Hannastown, PA, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family.Born on March 2, 1936, at Walnut, NC, Edd was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Willie Mae (Allen) Landers and infant son Edward Samuel Landers.Edd was an entrepreneur of many businesses throughout his lifetime but most recently was involved with Tappan Industries and Tappan Gas.He was a unique person who loved country music, good food, a great joke, a good woman, and a good drink.He is survived by his loving daughters, Jill (Clyde) Henry of New Alexandria, PA, Peggy (David) Graziano-Miller of Uhrichsville, OH, and Nancy (Thomas) Solomon of Hannastown, PA; seven grandchildren, Ben (Alexis) Henry, Timothy (Angeletta) Henry, Jeffrey Henry, James Graziano and his companion Joyce, Charlee and his companion Holly, and Sam and Kayla Solomon; three great-grandchildren, Preston and Ella Henry and Bailey Henry; and two brothers, Roy (Mary) Landers and Richard Landers and his companion Diane; nephews, Roy Dale Landers and Steven Landers; nieces Britten Pisowicz and Ashley Copeman and their families.Also surviving are former spouses, Patricia Fostar and Barbara Gooding; step-daughters, Laurie Souders and Jennifer (Lee) Rue; step-grandchildren, Ben, Bob, and Samantha Souders, Jennylynn (Brent) Morrison, and Ashley and Kristen Poorman; step-great grandchildren, Jaden Poorman and Taylor Morrison.Edd will be deeply missed by his longtime loves and companions, his pets, Daisy and Sam as well as many dear friends.In keeping with Edd’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services and cremation will be through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will conduct an inurnment service in the New Alexandria Union Cemetery in Pennsylvania at a later date.
