Earl Roger Vogelsang, 74, of Mineral City passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House on January 8, 2018.
Born in Canton on February 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Walter Charles and Roberta Marie (Huprich) Vogelsang.
After completing his formal education, Earl honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
In 1992, Earl married his wife, the former Sandra L. Bowers, in Wytheville, Virginia.
He owned and operated Wheeler Oldsmobile in Dover for 16 years.
Earl will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandy; his sons, John (Tresha) Fabynick of Weatherford, Texas, and Jason (Lena) Fabynick of Sugarcreek; his grandchildren, Samantha Fabynick of Dover, Clayton Fabynick of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Leigh and Tanner Fabynick of Sugarcreek; his great-grandson, William Fabynick of Dover; his brother, Carl Vogelsang of North Canton; and his father and mother-in-law, John and Wilda Bowers of Uhrichsville.
Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will begin in the funeral home at 4 PM. Friends are invited to stay and join the family following the service for a heavy hors d’0euvres reception from 5 to 7 PM.
