Earl L. Eash

Earl L. “Buddy” Eash, 68, of Strasburg died unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2007 in his home.A son of the late Russell and Harriet (Kendle) Eash, Earl was born December 2, 1938 at Dover, Ohio.He attended Strasburg Schools and he was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ at Strasburg. Earl retired from The Timken Company in 1996 and prior to that he had worked for Wallick Coal.He was an avid outdoorsman. Earl enjoyed traveling to Canada every summer to fish and he was a member of the Del Ray Camping Club. Prior to his father’s death, he also enjoyed the time he spent bowling with him in various leagues.Earl is survived by his loving family which include aunts, Wilda Eash of Massillon, Ohio, Edna Dunfee of Dover and Doris Sarbaugh of Zoar; uncles, Kenneth (Vivian) Kendle of Dover and Donald (Joanne) Kendle of South Carolina; and numerous cousins.In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Esther Kendle and his paternal grandparents, Lon and Effie Eash.Family and friends may call in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Earl’s life will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Pastor Gary Friend officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Hospitality Room of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.Memorial contributions may be made in Earl’s memory to St. John’s United Church of Christ, P.O.
