Dwayne E. Davis, 43, of Midvale, died Wednesday December 28, 2005 at Union Hospital after a long battle with Synovial Cell Sarcoma.Born June 12, 1962 in Dover, O. He was the son of Shirley Regula Davis of New Phila. O. and the late Robert E. Davis. He graduated from Indian Valley North High School in 1980.Dwayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed his daily work as a landscaper, working as a supervisor for Classico Landscapes of North Canton, O. When he wasn’t working for Classico or helping friends with landscaping he enjoyed hunting, watching football, NASCAR racing and spending time with his children. Dwayne was a member of the Tuscarawas VFW Post 7943 and the Uhrichsville Elks Lodge 424. All who knew and loved him will miss his humor and wonderful smile.In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Brody J Davis and one daughter Breanna M. Davis both of Tippecanoe; two sisters, Wanda (Joe) Krocker of Tuscarawas, Tina (Dan) De Vecka of New Phila; one brother, Doug Davis of New Phila; companion Charlene “Charlie” McPeek of Midvale, and her children and grandchildren.In addition to his father, one brother Greg Davis precedes Dwayne in deathVisitation will be Sunday January 1, 2006 from and 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Elks Lodge Services will be held at 7:45 p.m. A funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Dode Overton Officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Phila.A reception will be held at the Geib Center adjacent to the funeral home in New Philadelphia following the committal.Memorial contributions honoring Dwayne’s life may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County 201 West 3rd St, Dover, OH 44622.
