Dr. Kenneth E. Gasser

Dr. Kenneth E. Gasser, age 85, of Dover, died peacefully, Monday, December 07, 2015, while in the care of Community Hospice House.

A son of the late Ernest and Alice (Maurer) Gasser, Kenneth was born at Dover on August 18, 1930.

Following his graduation from Dover High School Kenneth began his undergraduate work at Miami University and received his D.D.S. degree from The Ohio State University. He then entered into the United States Navy and practiced dentistry as an officer. Upon his discharge, he returned to Dover where he operated his own dental practice for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995.

He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed collecting lures and spending time on his boat at Leesville Lake with his grandsons. He also enjoyed attending their sporting and school activities as well as cheering on The Buckeyes.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann (Paul) Bambeck, and his grandsons, John and Jake Bambeck and Spencer Prete all of Dover.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Rose Ann Gasser who preceded him in death on September 11, 2015, and a daughter, Susan Gasser.

A service celebrating Kenneth’s life will be led by Rev. Thomas Dunkle on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where the family will greet guests one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Following services, a light reception will be held in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center.
