Doug Swinderman

DOUG SWINDERMAN, 50, of Midvale, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, May 13, 2003 at Doctors’ Hospital in Massillon. Doug was born February 17, 1953 in Dennison to the late Willard D. and Frances Camdon Swinderman. A 1971 graduate of Indian Valley North High School, Doug worked for 28 years as a quality control inspector at Stone Container. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1993, he married Sharon Doane West. Some of Doug and Sharon’s interests included gardening and attending stock car races together. Besides Sharon, Doug is survived by sons Chad Douglas (Kristin) Swinderman of Dover, Keith West of New Philadelphia and James (Debbie) West of Espinola, NM; daughters JoAnn Milligan and Lynzee Elmore, both of Midvale; brothers Larry (Barbara Jean) Swinderman of Dover and Roger (Barbara) Swinderman of Midvale; grandchildren, Jordan, Jarrett and Jeremiah Swinderman; Jimmy, Heather, Ryan and Kayce West; Laycee, Brooke and Douglas West; Hunter and Bailey West, Madisen and Sydney Milligan; nieces Heather and Renee and nephews Brian, Danny and Kevin. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2003 with the funeral to follow at 11:00 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Rev. Dwight Mason of the Sugarcreek Free Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be private.
