Dorthy Mae Ball, 77, of Dover, died Monday, March 16, 2020 in Union Hospital at Dover.
A daughter of the late Kenneth Barnett and Sevilla (Baysinger) Shryock, Dorthy was born September 19, 1942 at Brownsville, Pennsylvania.
Dorthy enjoyed staying busy and being on the go. She enjoyed boating and she especially enjoyed spending time with family.
She is survived by her children, J. Lloyd Everhart of Newcomerstown, Rose (Richard) Jean of Greenville, South Carolina, Glenn (Jody) Everhart of Dover, Tammy Ryan of Bancroft, West Virginia and James (Penny) Tippie of Fayetteville, North Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a special best friend, Jeanie Jordan of St. Albans, West Virginia and her dog, Maxie.
Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Terri Jean Everhart; one sister and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 10 to 11 am in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Dorthy’s life will follow at 11 am in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown.
Attendance will be limited based on current COVID-19 mandates.
