Dorthea Francis Lucille Warren, 86, Uhrichsville, went home with the Lord on Friday, October 17, 2003.A daughter of the late Frank and Matilda Christian Trueman, she was born April 30, 1917, in Uhrichsville. She graduated Uhrichsville High School on May 21, 1935 and was also an alumnus of the Erma Lee Beauty College in Cleveland.Though she worked as a beautician for several years, her life focused on her family and her church. Married to Ernest S. Warren for 53 years prior to his death in l993, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.For many years, she was an active member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Uhrichsville where she was a choir member and Sunday school teacher; later, she became a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dennison.Dorthea will be missed by her daughters, Drue Ella (Joseph) Monroe of Barnhill and Marian (John) Hardaway of Detroit, MI; sons, Robert Jerome (Daisy) Holeman of Antelope, CA and Richard Jeffrey Warren of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Robert Holeman, Jr., Heather and Terell Hardaway, and Bri Warren; great-grandchildren, Brandon Hardaway and Janetta and Tishawna Holeman; and nephew, William (Terry) Warren II of Patterson, NJ.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two granddaughters, Debra and Precious Holeman, her sister and brother-in-law, Ella and William Warren, a nephew, Robert B. Warren and a niece, Dolores Pruitt.A service to celebrate Dorthea’s life will be Thursday, October 23, 2003, at 1:00 pm at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dennison with Reverend Lornis D. Fulp officiating and Pastor Henry L. McNeil giving the eulogy. Dorthea will be laid to rest beside her late husband in Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville. Following the committal, a meal and fellowship will be enjoyed in the church social hall. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday evening, October 22, 2003, from 6-8 pm at the church or one hour prior to the church service on Thursday.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Echoing Hills Village, 36272 County Road 79, Warsaw, OH 43844 in remembrance and honor of Dorthea’s late granddaughter, Precious Holeman.
