Dorothy Tedrick

Dorothy Leanna Tedrick, 95 of Park Village Health Care Center at Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia died Monday, September 19, 2016.

A daughter of the late Roy and Ocie Wayble, Dorothy was born outside of Cadiz at Antrim, Ohio.

On August 17, 1937, Dorothy married Walter G. Tedrick. Together the couple shared in 59 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 2, 1997. For a number of years, they owned and operated the former Tedrick’s Jewelry Store.

Dorothy enjoyed caring for her family, and maintained memberships with First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia and the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Charles Tedrick and a daughter, Shirley (Gerald) Kimble all of Dover; six grandchildren, Charles Tedrick, Walter Tedrick, Lori Kimble, Deborah Diegmiller, Gerald Kimble and Karen Combs as well as numerous great-grandchildren and their families.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2 PM in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Jim Humphrey officiating.
