DOROTHY M. CALDWELL, 81, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Monday evening, June 30, 2003 at Hennis Care Centre in Dover under the care of Hospice of Tuscarawas County. Prior to being at Hennis, she made her home with her son David and his wife Donna in Dover.Dorothy was born at home July 12, 1921 near Revlock, PA to the late Arthur and Martha Beeba Keilman. On August 18, 1939 she married George H. Caldwell, with whom she shared her life for 64 years until his death August 24, 2001. She and George were active members of the New Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene where Dorothy taught Sunday school. Dorothy retired as a wire inspector from General Electric in Dover. She enjoyed craft making, shopping, painting and creating photo albums. Dorothy also helped George in his wood shop, staining and coloring.The couple had two sons, who survive. Daniel (Dianne) Caldwell of New Philadelphia and David (Donna) Caldwell of Dover. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ronda Caldwell, Kim (Fred) Smith, David Caldwell, Steve Caldwell and Danielle Caldwell; step-grandchildren, Jeff Carnahan and Julie Maurtaugh; six great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren; sisters, Esther Koss and Edna Koss, and a brother, Ray (Mary) Keilman. In addition to her parents, a sister, Bernie Walk, a brother, Webb Keilman and her grandson, Brent Caldwell, preceded Dorothy in death.Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2003 (tonight) from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. The funeral will be Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 1:30 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Terry Kidd, Rev. Bill Waltz, and Dorothy’s nephew, Rev. Martin Koss, officiating. Immediately following the service a reception will be given at the New Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene. Contributions honoring Dorothy may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W.
