Dorothy L. Conroy

Dorothy L. Conroy, 83, of Dover, died Monday, June 22, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie (Palmer) Gilbert, Dorothy was born December 15, 1925 at Ashland, Ohio.Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Rittman High School and then attended Bowling Green University. She also graduated from Business College in upstate New York.She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church at Dover where she sang in the choir for many years. Dorothy was also a member of the Eastern Star for more than 60 yearsShe is survived by her children, Candace Morley and her companion, James Bova of Wadsworth, Ohio, James Conroy and his wife, Holly of Haymarket, Virginia, Robert Conroy of Dover and Barbara Pruni and her husband, Larry of Dover; grandchildren, Sean Morley, Brendan (Kristin) Conroy, Meghan (Rob) Swank, Erin (Brian) Gilsbach and Ashley (Adam) Huprich and her great grandchildren, Dominic Grossi, Kaleigh and Kieran Morley, Reilly and Teagan Swank, Katie, Reagan and Keenan Conroy and Riann Gilsbach.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Conroy; a son, Christopher Conroy and a brother, Ned Gilbert.In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, services will be private and cremation will take place at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
