Dorothy Jean (Alverson) Denison

Dorothy Jean (Alverson) Denison, 82, passed away August 12, 2012 following a prolonged illness.
A long-time resident of Dover and Louisville, Ohio, Denison is survived by her brother, George Alverson of Cherry Valley, NY, married daughters Karen Denison of Santa Fe, NM and Heidi Huett of Ellicott City, MD, and grandchildren Ryan Hatzakos, 19, and Preston Huett, 13.
Born to Charles and Henrietta Mildred (Rotzler) Alverson on April 19, 1930, in Manhattan, NY, Denison was an accomplished artist with an independent spirit.
She was a 1952 graduate of Queens College, NYC, a member of Sigma Psi Sorority, and belonged to various social groups including Sweet Adelines, 3 Arts Club, and the American Legion.
She enjoyed expressing her creativity in all her endeavors.
