Dorothy J. Kantz, 63, of North Ft. Myers, Fl., formerly of West Milton and New Philadelphia, OH died Thursday, October 14, 2004. She had resided in Florida for the past 10 years.Dorothy was born May 12, 1940 in Dover, Ohio to the late Gene and Gladys (Foster) Dindo and was a 1958 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She retired from GTE as a Customer Service Supervisor, having worked at their offices in New Philadelphia, Brookville and Portsmouth, OH. She loved traveling with her husband in their R.V., and enjoyed the activities and friends at their retirement community.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Kantz who died last spring, a grandson Clayton McMillen, and an infant brother, Richard Dindo.She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Tom) McMillen of New Philadelphia and Sally (Brian) Cesario of Germantown, WI.; son, James Edie, of Bedford, IN; two step-daughters, Karen Kantz and Diana Pfankuch; one step-son, Brian Kantz; brother, Tom (Kitty) Dindo of Akron, OH.; grandchildren, Luke and Broc McMillen, Nicole and Tony Cesario, V.J, and Chris Edie; step-grandson, Jeremy Kantz; aunts, Flora Dindo of New Philadelphia and Vera (Eugene) Maistrelli of New Philadelphia; nephews, Carl and Paul Dindo; and a niece, Joyce Dindo.Graveside services will be held Thursday October 21, 2004, at 2 PM, at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton, OH. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory of New Philadelphia. Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made top the American Cancer Society Area Office 12, 201-A W. Ohio Ave. Dover, OH 44622.
