Dorothy Huff

Dorothy Huff, 88, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Country Club Retirement Center at Dover, Ohio.

A daughter of the late Delbert and Monna (Jollie) Byers, Dorothy was born August 11, 1928 at New Philadelphia.

Dorothy graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1947.   She worked at Timken and as a dog groomer.  She then retired from K-Mart after working there for many years as a cashier.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia for over 50 years.  She was also a life member of the Lady Elks of New Philadelphia.

She is survived by a daughter, Cyndi (Brian) Basiletti; and a brother, Howard (Joanne) Byers, as well as 3 nephews and 1 niece.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Dallas R. Huff, whom she married June 15, 1947; a sister-in-law Jeanne (Leroy) Shivers; a brother-in-law, James Huff and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2pm in Evergreen Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Reverend Greta Peterson officiating.
