Dorothy Evelyn Fisher

Dorothy Evelyn Fisher, 89, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday morning, June 10, 2008 in Hennis Care and Retirement Centre at Dover.A daughter of the late Fred and Flossie (Pfeister) Espenschied, Dorothy was born July 7, 1918.She was formerly employed by U.S. Ceramic at East Sparta and The Timken Company at Canton and was most recently employed at the Delphian Motor Inn at New Philadelphia.Dorothy enjoyed dancing and tending to the floral gardens around her home.She is survived by two sons, Robert (Nancy) Hamilton and Jeff Fisher both of New Philadelphia; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Ruth Walker and Faye Espenschied.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, June Green and Loneyvonne Ohler; two grandchildren; three sisters, June Gardner, Edyth Barnish and Thelma Harig and two brothers, Donald F. and Glenn H. Espenschied.In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Inurnment will take place in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia at a later date.
