Dorothy Catherine King

Dorothy Catherine King, 86, of Tabor Ridge Road in Mineral City, died Monday, February 3, 2003, at Union Hospital in Dover.She was born August 17, 1916, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to the late Nels Ira and Theresa Breehl Nelson. Dorothy was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and retired from Zimmer Patient Care in 1980. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, Sacred Heart Senior Citizens and Zimmer Retirees.Surviving are her sons, David F. King of Mineral City and Robert L. (Madge) King of Sugarcreek; a sister, Margaret Bour of New Philadelphia; a grandson, Mark (Diane) King of Midvale and five other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. King, on February 2, 1980; her brother, Raymond A. Nelson; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia M. King.A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 6, 2003, at 1:30 PM in the Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third St. NE, with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating, with burial following at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Family and friends are then invited to the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home, for a meal. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral in New Philadelphia from 5 to 8 PM, with a Christian Wake service beginning at 7:30.
