Dorothy C. Keatley, 90, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in Union Hospital at Dover.She was born in the family home in New Philadelphia on January 23, 1915 to the late James and Florence Messerly. She married her husband, the late Lloyd Keatley in Zoar, O. on September 14, 1940. Dorothy was an honorary member of Custom Kemps of Ohio, an avid card player, a great and loving mother and grandmother, and was loved by all.She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Casebeer of Dover; three grandchildren, Janet (Steve) Martin of Bolivar, Jennifer (Mark) Host of Bowerston and Sham Keatley; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Host, Kayla Marie Martin, and Jaylin; and a former son-in-law, Ronald Casebeer of Dover.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd E. Keatley Jr.; one sister, Mildred Watkin; and three brothers, Gene Messerly, Jim Messerly, and Ronald Messerly.Visitation will be held Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia where the “Geib” signature pass the light service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Msgr. George Schlegel will officiate Mrs. Keatley’s funeral service on Friday morning at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
