Dorn L. Fisher, 92, formerly of New Philadelphia, died early Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Hennis Care Center at Bolivar following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Ralph E. and Maude E. Hykes Fisher, Dorn was born on September 3, 1932, in New Philadelphia.

He served the United States Army during the Korean War as a member of the Second Infantry Division.

Professionally, Dorn worked for the former Ruger Equipment Company, I.F Ridge Tool and Ohio Security prior to retirement. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at New Philadelphia.

He is survived by two children, Dorn L. (Lisa West) Fisher, Jr. of New Philadelphia and Maudie (Vance) Wiles of Strasburg; his grandchildren, Dorn L. (Amanda) Fisher, III, Travis Wiles, Tad Wiles, and McKenzie Wiles; great-grandchildren, Dorn IV and Kaylynn; a great-nephew Michael (Victoria) Schaar, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother and father, Dorn was preceded in death by his brothers, Doyle Fisher, Dale G. Fisher, Wayde Fisher, Gene Fisher, Max Fisher; and a sister, Joan Galligher.

A graveside service led by Mr. Alan Stutzman will be held in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2 PM. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
