Doris Mae Geduldig, 88, of Park Village Assisted Living at Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Monday, August 10, 2015 in her residence following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Owens) DeArment, Doris was born April 16, 1927 at Sharon, Pennsylvania.
Doris graduated from the former Beaver College in 1949 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree and spent her younger years working as an Interior Designer. Then on June 4, 1961 she married Dr. Roy Geduldig in Temple Israel. The couple raised two sons, Aaron and Gordon and shared 49 years of marriage prior to Roy’s passing on July 14, 2012.
Doris was a member of Temple Israel at Canton. She was also an active in the community and served as a member of the Sisterhood, Friends of the Library, College Club and the Civil War Roundtable.
She is survived by her sons, United States Army Colonel, Aaron Geduldig of Alexandria, Virginia and Gordon Geduldig of Columbus, Ohio and three grandchildren, Meghan and Nicole of Alexandria, Virginia, and Brandon of Columbus, Ohio.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy and a brother, Robert DeArment.
In keeping with Doris’ wishes, her body was donated to the Ohio State University Medical Center Anatomical Department and there will be no calling hours or services.
