Doris Jean Tucker

Doris Jean Tucker, 78, of New Philadelphia, died early Sunday morning, September 23, 2007, in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover.A daughter of the late Ralph and Pearl (Flock) Hole, Doris was born March 1, 1929 at Mt. Vernon, Ohio.Doris was a 1947 graduate of Lorain High School and she then graduated in 1951 after continuing her education at Baldwin Wallace College at Berea, Ohio. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia.On August 27, 1949, Doris married William F. Tucker and together, they raised four children, Jane, Jeff, Peggy and Sally. Doris and Bill were the owners of Tucker Printing at New Philadelphia. Bill passed away on March 17, 1996Doris is survived by her children, Jane (Jim) Trosen of Northville, Michigan, Jeff (Valerie) Tucker of New Philadelphia, Peggy (Ron) Schrock of Walnut Creek and Sally Korns of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Stephanie, Patrick and Andrew Tucker, Ashley and Luke Schrock and Rachael, Elizabeth and Tyler Korns; step-grandchildren, Tracie (Richie) Lovsin and Christine (Tim) Korotney and step-great grandchildren, Olivia, Valerie and Ava Lovsin, Kayla Korotney and Patrick Bullock.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill and a son-in-law, Dave Korns.Family and friends may call on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Doris’ life will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
