Donnie Sites

Donnie R. Sites, 58, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 in Union Hospital at Dover following a one-year battle with cancer.

Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Donald and Gloria Barrick Sites and had worked in construction for a number of area companies prior to his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Helen E. Sites, whom he married May 27, 2000. Also surviving are two daughters, Valerie (Clint) Burrow of Texas and Donielle Sites and her companion Kyle Devorace of New Philadelphia; a step-daughter, Danielle (Kyla) Smitley of Wayland; a son, Derek Sites of California; two sisters, Gloria Leathers of Mt. Calm, Texas and Janie Sites of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Melvin (Jackie) Myers of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, Bobby (Linda) Sites of Marysville, Pennsylvania and Donald Myers and his companion Valerie of Duncannon, Pennsylvania; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A sister, Violet Sites and a brother-in-law, Buddy Leathers also preceded him in death.

In keeping with his wishes, Donnie is to be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and the family will conduct a memorial service at a later date.
