Donna Lee Muehlhoffer, age 79, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully in her home, one day shy of her 80th birthday. Born at New Philadelphia, on the day of the great stock market crash, October 24, 1929, Donna was a daughter of the late John D. and Vera G. Engler Lineberry. A 1947 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Donna married Henry L. Muehlhoffer the following autumn on September 13, 1947.Henry and Donna were married for twenty-seven years prior to Henry’s passing in 1973. A longtime member of the Sharon Moravian Church, Donna was active in the Moravian Women & Martha Housman Circle, the church choir and the Ladies Aid Society quilting group. Donna was a familiar face around New Towne Mall where she joined friends for mall-walking. For more than twenty years she worked at the Timken Company’s New Philadelphia operation as a secretary. She leaves behind a family that includes her brothers; Ronald “Buck” (wife Janet) Lineberry of New Philadelphia, Gary (wife, Evelyn) Lineberry of Lakemore, Ohio, and Jack Lineberry of Dover, as well as two half-sisters; Betty Renner of Suffolk, Virginia, and Alice Bruckner of North Canton. Numerous nieces and nephews including; Stacey L (husband Sean) Blazer, John Lineberry and his daughter Dorrian; Jack Lineberry and his children Aliesha, Deanna and Devan; Michael (wife Jo) Lineberry and their son Michael; Kathy (husband Stephen) Barry and their children Emily and Stephen II; and Rondee (husband Mark) Kappler and their children Aaron, Abel, and Angela. Many great-nieces, great-great nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nephews complete the family.Cremation is planned through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. The Reverend Margaret Leinbach will lead a memorial service Tuesday morning at 11AM in the chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment will follow alongside her husband in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, family and friends will gather for a luncheon in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
