Donna J. Everett, 81, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday evening, May 24, 2016, in Union Hospital at Dover.
A daughter of the late, Don and Jackie (Wilfong) Pearson she was born at Leesville, Ohio on August 3, 1934.
She was a member of the first graduating class of Conotton Valley High School in 1953. On July 10, 1955, she married Richard C. Everett and the couple celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 15, 2016.
Donna was employed by Scio Pottery and Harts Family Center at New Philadelphia for many years prior to her retirement. She attended Schoenbrunn Moravian Church, was a member of the New Philadelphia Amvets, and enjoyed monthly outings with Harts Retirees, Card Club and the Breast Cancer Survivors group. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Richard L. (Sherry) Everett, and Terry Everett; two grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Everett, II and Rachel (Tommy) Cannon; three great-grandchildren, Stella, Talyn and T.C. Completing the family are two sisters-in-law, Nancy Pearson and Sally Beitzel as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, James Pearson.
The family will greet guests on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5-7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Rev. Denny Rohn will lead a service on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. The family will gather for burial services at 1 PM on Wednesday in Western Reserve National Cemetery.
