Donna Ferrell

Donna Ferrell, age 82, of Beach City, died early Sunday, April 13, 2025, in The Inn of Northwood at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Loren B. and Pearl J. (Gaskill) McPherson, Donna was born on February 6, 1943 at Ragersville, Ohio.

She was a 1961 graduate of Strasburg High School. After graduation she married the love of her life Robert Ferrell, and together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage before his passing in December of 2023.

Donna worked a few jobs through the years. However, none were more important than taking care of her family. In her free-time she enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards and going sight-seeing with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Bob) Davies of Strasburg and Jodi Ferrell of Beach City; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her many friends and neighbors.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters; and four brothers.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Donna in her final days.
